Watermelon Pizza

Summer means sizzling temperatures, so hot that you probably don’t want to turn your oven on — but everyone still needs to eat. So try this cool, healthy and simple recipe for a great snack. Watermelon is hydrating (it’s 91 percent water), low in calories and fat and a great source of vitamin C, so go ahead and indulge. Plus, the ingredients are easy to come by and may already be in your refrigerator. 

Watermelon “Pizza”

 

  1. Slice a watermelon widthwise about 1 inch thick.
  2. Spread a layer of Greek yogurt (or your favorite fruit dip) on top of each watermelon slice.
  3. Add any type of berries on top of the yogurt. Suggestions include blueberries, raspberries or strawberries.
  4. Cut into 8 slices and enjoy!
